The network ordered pilot Famous In Love, which will be co-written and executive produced by PLL boss Marlene King, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Karey Burke, exec vp programming and development at ABC Family, said the TV drama will "go behind the scenes of young Hollywood to tell a sexy, soapy tale about what it's like to make a movie — and fall in love — in L.A."
The drama is based on Rebecca Serle's novel by the same name (she's co-writing the series with Marlene), and centers on Paige (Bella), "an ordinary college student who gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. She must now navigate her new star-studded life and undeniable chemistry with her two co-leads while uncovering the truth about what happened to a famous missing pop star."
Bella shared the news with fans Wednesday, writing, "Excited for this!," alongside a shot of the Hollywood Reporter's article about it. We are too.
The network is not only set to produce the Bella-led drama, but also recently green lit a Nicki Minaj-produced comedy based on the rapper's life. Just two more reasons to get really excited about 2016.
