Facebook is on a roll with new projects, updates, and releases. It's flying drones all over the world to bring people the Internet, creating personalized experiences for fans to connect with their favorite celebrities, and doing some questionable things with your data.
One of Facebook's newest features being released is an easier way for local businesses to get a verified checkmark on their Facebook page, as reported by AdWeek and Marketing Land. In an effort make Pages more valuable to businesses; the checkmark will help small businesses stand out against non-verified pages of their business.
The check won't be the classic blue and white colors, it will be gray and white, so as not to make the businesses look too important, right? We don't want people thinking the local dry cleaner is on the same level as Beyonce.
Kidding aside, it's nice to see Facebook stretching an arm out to small businesses. They even came up with a super simple how-to guide for getting your checkmark.
