Bride Rushes to the Scene of a Car Crash in Her Wedding Gown
Minutes after paramedic Sarah Ray said "I do," she hiked up her dress and rushed to the scene of a car crash.
Just two miles from the church, Sarah's grandparents were involved in a collision on the way to the ceremony.
According to News Channel 5 in Nashville, the family said a driver ran a red light and and slammed into the grandparents' vehicle. Sarah told News Channel 5 that she was scared on the way there. Both Sarah and her new husband Paul are paramedics in Montgomery County, Tennessee, and met five years ago.
"Anybody in the EMS field would've done the same thing," Sarah explained. " I don't know if what I did was special, but I was in a wedding dress."
Sarah's grandparents suffered only minor bruising and scratching, and were more concerned that they ruined her wedding day, though Sarah assured them they didn't and the reception continued. Sarah's mother took the viral photo of the bride and says it truly "shows her character and accentuates her beauty."
Sarah is putting bridezillas everywhere to shame with her courageous, selfless act.
