Getting my nail art on is easily my favorite part of my beauty routine, but while I'll gladly steady my hand to swipe on an extra coat of glitter or draw a few strategically placed zigzags, I'm not sure I have the patience for this new nail trend - even though it's gorgeous. The glass nails Manicure is the hottest nail trend to come to America, and it makes for some very enviable tips - if you have the patience to achieve the look, of course.

Like many cool beauty trends, this one hails from Korea, specifically the designer behind the Instagram account @nail_unistella. This nail trend involves putting holographic nail wraps on your finger, which are cut into shapes that resemble glass shards - hence the name of the look. The result is even more dramatic than glitter and very edgy, but still simple enough to look polished and pulled together.

The best part? There's little to no risk of chips with this design, because you're already putting strips of "glass" on your nails. Check these out:

The problem with glass nails? They take a really, really long time to do if you're DIYing your mani. (We're talking being extremely precise with tweezers and cutting super tiny pieces of nail wrap to adhere to your tips.) If you have the time, you can check out the video below to master the art - or, maybe, just invest in a really cool glitter polish until you can make it to a salon.
