Although I don't promote skipping class, I do promote what my friend was referring to. My "passion for fashion" has kept me busy networking, interning at various fashion labels and taking advantage of every opportunity. My passion has kept me very busy specifically throughout this semester as I am one of Cambio's Campus Ambassadors. Because I already have my "foot in the closet" of the fashion world, my friend always jokes that I don't need to go to class. When it comes to interning, there is absolutely NOTHING like working side by side with a professional. The skills you learn while being under pressure in a fast paced environment are unreal. To be an intern, you must be bold, intelligent and one step ahead of your boss. Most importantly, you must love what you do!
InternQueen is an amazing resource for finding internships. There's almost always a vast list of opportunities. The website also has amazing articles about interviewing, resumes and tips for your career.
ED2010 is the perfect website for unique advice about magazines and media businesses. You can also find editorial jobs and internships. I really like reading their articles! From time to time, I'll check out what internship postings they have just because I'm curious.
The Muse, although not related to fashion internships, has amazing articles about our career. They have many sections, but I really love the "Resumes & Cover Letter" page.
