Dr. Drew Doesn't Think Khloe Kardashian Should Reconcile With Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom shocked fans when they decided to call off their divorce at the 11th hour, but it wasn't exactly under normal circumstances.

Lamar remains hospitalized after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on October 13 and there's more to it than just wanting to give marriage another try, although that's probably part of it.

According to TMZ, there were other reasons that factored into the decision. Like the fact that Lamar doesn't really have anybody besides Khloe to help take care of him, and the fact that he's apparently on the Kardashians' health insurance and the divorce would certainly change that.

Khlomar fans are obviously happy to see that there is still hope for a reconciliation, but there is at least one person who is hoping that's not the case: Dr. Drew. Although he hasn't treated Lamar, Dr. Drew specializes in addiction issues and he doesn't think a reconciliation would be beneficial to Lamar's recovery. Not because of Khloe, though, in fact, he praises her for what she tried to do for him.

"Here's the issue now," he explained. "If they reconcile their relationship - that's not a good thing. The fact that they're not going through with a divorce is a good thing, because you're supposed to not change anything the first year after you get sober, but you're also not supposed to reconcile. Just leave things the same, focus on your recovery, don't even worry about it..."

He continued, "So the fact that they aren't getting divorced is not a bad thing, but if they actually reconcile the relationship, that's not necessarily a good thing. So hopefully he just focuses on his recovery and we wish him all the best."

While Khloe is obviously sticking by his side right now, she's made it clear that if he does go back to drugs, she's leaving. We watched her struggle with that issue for a long time during Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and she has maintained that if not for these "issues," she would have still been married to Lamar.

During a conversation with her mom on Kourtney And Khloe Take The Hamptons, Khloe said that if she had it her way, she would absolutely still be married to him.

She echoed the same sentiment months later in an interview with E! News, telling them, "I will never ever not love Lamar. I'm so obsessed with Lamar in a great, healthy way....He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and, you know, I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but there's nothing I can do. Lamar has to do things in order to change that aspect."

As tragic as this whole situation is, maybe this will be the turning point for Lamar, regardless of whether he and Khloe decide to stay husband and wife or not.
