Selena Gomez is such a boss lady these days. Not only is she tearing up the charts with her new music, but homegirl just got a sweet gig acting in and producing a new Netflix series! #GetItGirl

According to reports, Sel's series will be based on the best-selling young adult novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. The upcoming TV series, which was created and written by Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey, has been picked up for 13 episodes. Holler!

What are we going to be seeing from Selena on this one? Well, the novel focuses on a shy, California high school student who finds a box of cassette tapes on his doorstep. The tapes were recorded by Hannah Baker, a classmate he had feelings for who committed suicide. The tapes are sent with instructions to pass them on to a list of students like a chain letter, and the tapes explain to 13 people how they played a role in her death. Sounds pretty legit, right?!

This is big news for the Selenators out there. The actress hasn't been on the small screen since her Wizards of Waverly Place days.

Another cool note about Sel's new gig? Her mama Mandy Teefey is signed on to help produce the show, too.

Think you'll tune in? If it's anything like her new music...it'll be an awesome show!
