Do you have a Gmail account? Of course you do. Well there is some seriously Jetsons-type sh*t coming to Google's Inbox app, so you might wanna download it if you don't have it already. The update will basically be like having a personal assistant waiting to answer emails for you in your phone, and we're all about that.
On Thursday, Google will launch Smart Reply, a new feature that guesses which emails can be answered with a short response, drafts a few replies and then presents them to you for approval at the bottom of the screen, making it all the more easier for you to shoot off those easy email responses. All you have to do is select the one you want, and off the email goes! Thanks, Google.
Inbox relies on machine learning to crank out the replies, so the more often you use the feature, the better it gets at forming responses. And if you're worried that your Google machine will say something weird AF - don't worry, they've been testing the feature in house, so they already prevented Google from suggesting "I love you" as a response to your boss. Awkward. Hopefully any other bizarre bugs have been fixed already, too.
We can't wait to take this new email feature for a spin. Isn't it amazing what technology is capable of?
