JLaw spoke about her cray schedule at a Mockingjay Part 2 press conference, and she explained that she actually relishes her insanely packed life - this girl is totally not jonesing for lazy days. She said:
There are some things that I would like to escape from in this [business] but if I were to go off into the country some place quiet I would just lose my mind... As of right now I love working, I love being busy, I love reading, writing, doing anything I can to keep myself busy... Really, honestly, it's a job. I really love acting. I really think of myself as a working woman. I just go from set to set to work.
Jennifer also admits that she's a bit of a workaholic - while a vacation may be relaxing, ultimately, it's not as satisfying as going to work on another film:
I hate waking up without a goal and going to sleep achieving nothing... I just obsessively work, on weekends I'll go to directors and pitch myself.
Her career has certainly taken off after the first Hunger Games film, and that may be because JLaw showed her range with other characters in between playing Katniss instead of taking breaks:
JLaw, we think you look fantastic - and we kind of love that you're not super into taking vacays from making movies. After all, Hollywood would be a lot less fun with less JLaw around.
There was time when I really wanted time off, but I was really aware of how overwhelming [the Hunger Games franchise] could be... I tried to keep working so that people could see other characters and other things that I could do instead of taking vacation time. And now I'm aging like a President.
