Serena Williams Just Became an Action Movie Hero IRL

When and if a Serena Williams biopic comes to the big screen (because that totes need to happen), this next story would fit right in because it seriously sounds like a scene out of an action movie.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old tennis phenom took to Facebook to recount how she sprang into action after a man tried to steal her phone while she was having dinner at a restaurant.

When she saw a suspicious patron snatch her phone from a chair and leave the premises, Serena did what any self-assured, bada** chick would do — she chased him down and showed him who's boss. "Not thinking I reacted (hence the superwoman photo) I jumped up, weaved my way in and out of the cozy restaurant (leaping over a chair or two) and chased him down," she wrote. "He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash!"

While this failed attempt at thievery is certainly no laughing matter, we can't help but LOL at Serena's vivid storytelling imagery. Add her latest feat to all of her other exceptional triumphs like becoming the first black female to land a solo Vogue cover and winning her sixth Wimbledon trophy, and the script about Serena's amazing life story practically writes itself.
