Mother Monster has been slaying her role as The Countess on American Horror Story: Hotel, so last month AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed to fans that he asked her to return next season.
After a month of waiting though, fans still don't have an answer. Still, according to E! Online, there is hope. Sources reportedly told the site she wants to return in some capacity next year but no deal is in place.
Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6. Say yes @ladygaga!— Ryan Murphy (@MrRPMurphy) October 6, 2015
E! News' Kristin Dos Santos also asked Gaga last month whether she would do another season of the show and she said, "I think I'd like to do like one great acting project a year. I think one a year would be great." At the time, the "Artpop" singer told Kristin she was interested in working on a film, adding, it's "about the right people, the right project," and that she was also interested in writing.
It's no secret that Gaga has enjoyed her time on AHS, though. She recently gushed about working on the show, telling E! News, "I'm happier than I've ever been now, because the people that I work with really, really care that my life is different and really, really work to make sure that I feel as normal as possible—so that I can have a great time and just be a normal girl, and just be a woman for Ryan on film, or you know... [laughs] a hemophiliac."
The hemophiliac she's referring to is her 100-year-old, blood-sucking character on the show, for which she recently scored her first-ever acting nomination – a People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress.
That alone is worth making a return to AHS. Fingers crossed.
