Target is facing backlash for selling what some are calling a "disgusting" piece of apparel that "mocks" and "trivializes mental illness." A number of tweets from customers, accusing the retailer of being insensitive by stocking a sweater covered with the words "OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder," recently resulted in widespread media attention.
Target did not invent the slogan or anything. But, it can be found on everything from mugs to pillow cases online...and they're one of the largest retailers displaying it.
While some think it's a cute shirt, others are offended AF. We don't like to take sides, so we'll file this one under the whole Starbucks, red cup, thing.
