The American Music Awards were last night, meaning it has been one year since the iconic "Zayn Malik single strand of hair in face" look. For me, the night was all about One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer. From the red carpet to their performances, the all of these boys were amazing.
LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 23: Singer Zayn Malik of One Direction attends the 2014 American Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 23, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)I fangirled (out loud) when I saw One Direction on the red carpet. Niall Horan rocked his new glasses, which he looks amazing in. Liam Payne wore a gray suit, which I love Liam in gray; it is totally his color. Who am I kidding? Every color is Liam's color. Louis Tomlinson was in a simple suit without a tie. He looked classic, yet laid-back at the same time. Lastly, Harry Styles wore a print suit, which, OMG, looked so good on him. Not many people can pull off a printed suit, but he can. He looked so chic, and I would not expect anything else from him. Honestly, only Harry could pull that look off.2015 American Music Awards - Arrivals5SOS looked so rock 'n' roll chic on the red carpet. Each of the boys (Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood) sported a button-down shirt and black pants. Michael looks amazing with his new red hair *insert fire emoji here*. He dyed his hair back to red, partially because it is his most requested hair color. The fans love red. Personally, my favorite Michael color is green, but that's just my opinion. #youdoyou Luke wore his button-down shirt open, which is the style Harry used to wear his button-downs in. Did Luke get style tips from Styles? While Calum and Ashton looked punk in all black attire.2015 American Music Awards - ArrivalsAs for other stunning red carpet looks, Lauren Jauregui looked gorgeous in a black dress, paired with winged eyeliner and dark lipstick. Demi Lovato wore a gorgeous backless dress and sported a short hair style - talk about confident. And Zendaya was pretty in pink from head to toe.
2015 American Music Awards - ArrivalsEveryone who won awards deserved them, especially One Direction winning the Best Pop/Rock Group, for the third year in a row. I love seeing 1D giving their acceptance speeches as well as Pitch Perfect winning for Best Soundtrack.
2015 American Music Awards - Roaming ShowAs per the performances, the only acts that mattered were One Direction, 5SOS, and Ariana Grande. Out of the bunch, 5SOS performed first. They looked so much more confident this year than they did last year. Michael looked so good and energized. The crowed was really jamming out!
2015 American Music Awards - Roaming ShowNext came Ariana Grande. She performed "Focus," and when Ariana came out, she looked so old Hollywood glam. She really showed off her vocal range in this performance, as well as her dance moves. Even Nicki Minaj in the crowed was smiling.
2015 American Music Awards - ShowLastly, came One Direction. Their performance left me speechless. It was perfect. One Direction was the best part of the night. Their voices were and are beautiful. All the boys are so talented. They even showed Michael Clifford rocking out in the crowd.
