Adele gave birth to her son Angelo three years ago and to this day, we still don't even know what he looks like - which is exactly the way she wants it.
During her interview for Australia's 60 Minutes, the 27-year-old opened up about being a mother and about how she herself isn't even big on the idea of being a celebrity, so she certainly doesn't want to subject her son to everything that goes along with it. Plus, he didn't choose a public life.
"When I'm with my kid, I don't want my kid photographed," she said, in no uncertain terms. "It's hard enough being a kid in general -- imagine growing up and your first kiss...your first cigarette and all that -- if that's how I found out about my child's life, I definitely would never forgive myself."
Makes perfect sense.
Adele also says that she thinks she's done a pretty good job of avoiding the whole 'celebrity' thing for herself, too, joking that she doesn't go to every "opening of a letter or a packet of crisps."
We have to admit, she does do an incredible job of keeping her private life private AND staying out of the tabloids. And she doesn't plan to change that anytime soon...
While she has nothing against celebrities who do appearances on the side for product launches and such, she won't be one of them. "The only reason people do it is for money and I would rather not give in to that because I think you don't want to get addicted to making money like that for doing s**tty things, so I'm all right," she says.
Girl, you're more than all right!
