On Wednesday, Adele announced a 2016 tour to promote her recently released album 25. The singer shared the huge news in a cute video she posted to her Instagram page. Adele hasn't toured since 2011, so we're guessing those ticket sales will break some major records like her album, which is officially the UK's biggest selling number 1 album in history and has sold more than 3 million copies in the US in its first week.
No matter how you compile the numbers, they all add up to the same thing — Adele is the reigning queen.
Unfortunately, fans in the US may have to wait a little bit longer to weep and bow in the face of Adele's live onstage slayage. So far, the tour only includes the UK, Ireland and Europe, with the singer making her first stop in Belfast in February. In the meantime, members of her website can hit up Adele.com to purchase pre-sale tickets on Dec. 1, while the general sales start Dec. 4.
Clearly Adele knows her fandom is worldwide so we'll keep our fingers crossed that she announces some US tour dates soon.
