Calvin Klein created a unisex scent called CK One in the '90s, and people fell in love with the fresh, clean scent that neither smelled overly like a perfume or a cologne. Bottles of CK One ended up in the stockings of both men and women who freaked over the trendy scent - but Calvin Klein wasn't content.
Calvin Klein is calling out the gender binary with CK2: instead of it being for just men and women, Calvin Klein has made it clear that this perfume will be for anyone, no matter how they identify themselves. There are many people who don't fit into the traditional boxes when it comes to gender, and the fashion brand wants to make sure that those people feel just as comfortable wearing CK2. In fact, some of the models in the CK2 ads seem to bend gender boundaries: So what does CK2 smell like? According to SugarScape, the new fragrance smells like a mixture of wasabi, wet cobblestones, and woods blends - nothing overly flowery. While we'll have to wait until February to test out this perfume when it hits shelves, I am thrilled that Calvin Klein is making a scent for everyone.
