One look at Gwen Stefani's performance on the Voice Monday will tell you exactly why Blake Shelton couldn't stop gushing over it.

The former No Doubt singer looked stunning as she took the stage in a white and sheer gown and gave an emotional performance of "Used to Love You" in front of a picturesque backdrop of white trees enveloped in a white fog.

Once her performance was over, Blake gave her a standing ovation and tweeted about it too, writing, "Wow... @gwenstefani.... Such an amazing performance. #respect." He also gave her props before the show even began telling Entertainment Tonight, "I'm thankful for Gwen for tons of reasons, but mostly because she makes us all look a whole lot better on this show," Blake said. The country crooner added that he couldn't wait for fans to see what Gwen was going to wear for her performance. "Wait til you see!," he continued. "I saw what she's going to be wearing for this performance tonight, it's stunning. It's so beautiful." He was so right.

And if she looked emotional during the performance, there was a reason. The song was inspired by her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Gwen opened up about the song last month telling On Air With Ryan Seacrest, "This is all bittersweet. The night that it came out, I think I cried the whole night. I was like, 'I think I going to have to cry the whole night because I'm so happy, but it came out of something so horrible, so how does that work?'"

Since she dropped the single, "Used to Love You" has risen to number seven on the Apple Music Charts this week. We're happy to see that in spite of what Gwen has gone through, she not only has found a new love in Blake, but even more success with her music as well.
