By now, you've probably heard about the major Reese's controversy plaguing the candy industry: Reese's Peanut Butter trees look absolutely nothing like trees. The holiday edition of the classic Reese's Peanut Butter Cup may claim to resemble a Christmas tree, but instead, they end up looking like - well, err, not trees. (You can use your imagination for what they could possibly resemble, and you do NOT want to think about eating that.) Now, Reese's has finally responded to their customers, and you will laugh forever over what they had to say.

Reese's clearly was used to people Tweeting at them about this whole tree ish, but they weren't going to apologize for not carving out candies in the perfect shape of a Christmas tree. After all, aesthetic is so not the point of any Reese's candy. (Heck, I'd eat every Reese's tree with my eyes closed as long as I could enjoy the peanut buttery goodness.) Of course, you can't exactly fault customers for pointing out that this......does not look like this:Christmas tree surrounded with giftsI mean, really, facts are facts. So what does Reese's have to say about it? The company's response is actually pretty damn perfect:Okay, Reese's: you totally won this round. We'll stop complaining about what your trees look like as long as you promise to never, ever stop making them.
