When it comes to holiday glam, a hot red lip is a must.

Celebrity make-up artist Jamie Greenberg, who has slayed beauty looks for stars like Lucy Hale, Kaley Cuoco, and Anna Faris, dished to us exclusively about her three top tips to have your red lips on fleek during the holidays.

1. Choose Your Red Wisely: "Picking the right shade of red can be tough, but I encourage you to try everything!," Jamie told us. "There are so many YouTube tutorials and blogs out there talking about how to find the best shade but to really find the right color, go to your local Sephora and try on shades that catch your eye. If you don't love the shade you end up choosing, you can always take it back and try another." The return policy at Sephora really is life, specifically because of that.

2. Layer It Up: "To make a bold lip last, you need to layer," she continued. "Start with a lip stain that's similar to your main lipstick color. Then, set that stain with a powder and add your lip liner. After preppin' your pout, go in with the actual color. This layering will make sure your perfect holiday red lasts all night!"
3. Focus on Your Pout: "To really rock those red lips over the holidays, let your pout be the main focus," Jamie added. "The rest of your makeup should be about complementing your lips, not fighting against it! For example, you really don't need a bold eye because your lips should be the statement."

So, remember ladies, less is more when it comes to rocking a bold red lip, go with a red that works for you and layer your lip products to pull off the ultimate holiday glam red lip.
