Are things heating up between Niall Horan and Selena Gomez on the dating front? Or are these two just totally in the friendzone? They're certainly keeping everyone guessing, that's for sure.

While Sel has called Nialler one of her best friends and the two recently had dinner with friends, Niall was spotted recently watching her at the Jingle Ball...and then things went totally next level when the two were reportedly seen kissing at Jenna Dewan Tatum's birthday party. Of course, fans are saying "pics or it didn't happen" and so far all we've seen is a manip of Niall and Selena kissing, so...

Last night though, the pals were spotted grabbing dinner and ice cream and having a fun date night on the Santa Monica Pier. And this time there were plenty of photos and video to show the whole thing playing out (someone even snagged a grainy video of Niall and Selena on a roller coaster together). In one video, it appears they might be holding hands, but we're not seeing it?

Meanwhile, eagle eyed fans spotted Selena liking some Niall-centric Instagram posts and she started following him, which could mean something...or basically nothing at all.

And then there's Niall's brother, Greg, weighing in on the whole kissing thing with a tweet that we don't know what exactly to make of. He tweeted: "Selena Gomez spotted kissing one of Irelands top celebs it has to be deo devine I got a feeling am I right ha ha ha"

So far, fans are split on whether these two are an actual couple or just having fun as friends. (Our vote is that this is all just friendly. Shrug.)Selena liked some pics of Niall on Instagram: Niall's brother, Greg, puts in his two cents:This Niall and Selena kissing pic isn't exactly as it seems:
