Ever since Netflix announced that Full House was getting a spinoff - appropriately titled Fuller House - fans anxiously awaited the news of who would return for the new series. While we know that D.J. (Candace Cameron) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) will return for the series, tragically Michelle Tanner (played by both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) will not appear on the show. Instead of replacing Michelle with a different actress, Us Weekly reports that Michelle will be MIA from Fuller House - and the reason why is soooo a reference to the Olsen twins.

If you were wondering what Michelle would be up to in 2015, just look to the Big Apple. According to Us Weekly, that's where Michelle's been hanging out while - get this - creating her fashion empire. Sound familiar? It should, because that's what Mary-Kate and Ashley have been doing since they stepped back from acting. They now run fashion brands The Row and Elizabeth and James, and have made New York City their base since studying at NYU. Basically, the show is implying that Michelle isn't around because she's off being Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, which means she's missing from the Tanner family for the very same reason that the Olsen twins won't return to the show. Perhaps the series will decide to recast Michelle one day - or, better yet, one of the Olsen twins will stop by for an episode - but for now, this explanation for her absence is pretty perfect.
