The Hills alum revealed earlier Thursday that her brother had been found dead after he was reported missing last month. "We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time," she said in a statement to E! News. "We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."
Michael's car was found abandoned in Utah Nov. 27, and when reports soon surfaced about his disappearance, the mom of three shared a note with fans on Instagram, thanking them for their thoughts. "I appreciate all the concern, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to me and my family," she captioned a childhood photo on Instagram Monday of herself sitting with her brother on a beach.
This is just awful, especially during the holidays. We're continuing to keep Kristin and her family in our thoughts, and we hope they find some sort of solace during this time.
