Have you ever played around with Snapchat lenses and wondered if there could be something more useful there than just puking rainbows?

The makers of ModiFace did, and the result is a shamelessly addicting app that lets you try out different beauty looks in a pretty realistic way. It's called Modiface Live, and in addition to letting you switch up makeup color combinations, it can alter your eye color (simulating colored contacts) and whiten your teeth.
Modiface Live"The ability to see makeup realistically simulated on your live video is both entertaining as well as useful for figuring out what makeup combinations are best for your face," says Miriam Pettinen, Executive Director of Partnerships & Strategy, one of the key executives that oversaw the creation of the ModiFace Live app. "But the key is the ability to fine tune the intensity of each look to make them just right for you."

Tap on the 3D filter (this is what ModiFace calls the lenses) in any color palette and you can adjust the saturation of the makeup. If your finished look is especially #OnFleek, you can use the app to send a photo via Facebook Messenger to your squad.

But our personal fave is the rotating color 3D filter. Raise your eyebrows and it'll change your eye makeup, pout your lips and it will change your lip color. This my friends, is why technology is so beautiful. Check out the full video demo below to see it in action:

While the app doesn't beat walking into a Sephora and trying stuff on, it is a cool, easy way to test out trends. We'd be lying if we didn't say we played around with it for longer than we care to admit!
