A source reportedly confirmed to Page Six that "Beyoncé is a go," but her purported role in the film remains unclear. If true, sharing the screen with a three-time Oscar nominee could potentially rub off on her, putting her one-step closer to winning her own golden statuette.
This isn't the first we've heard of Beyonce joining A Star is Born. Back in March, Deadline reported that Warner Bros. had the "Drunk in Love" singer in mind for the role, but hadn't officially reached out to her. She was also said to have signed on to star in the film in 2011 when Clint Eastwood was the director.
While this isn't exactly in line with Bey's goal of nabbing an "iconic role" in a film that relates to African American rights, the Beyhive will gladly bow down and help their queen's movie break box office records.
