Did you sit around feeling bad about yourself while watching the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show? It's no secret that society's beauty standards are seriously unrealistic, and never does that message ring more true than while watching busty yet impossibly thin models strut down the runway in lingerie. Ugh, pass the M&Ms.
I'm doing this for you baby. Happy Holidays 😉 #justcloth #itsokifyoudontwanttomastyrbatetothese #gender #sex #lingerie #ladiesonly #boyswillbeboys #lgbt #hetero #sexyback #wearethechange Thanks @peoplemag @huffingtonpost @mashable and all the others for supporting me by sharing this photoshoot! One day we will be able to truly be free to love what and who we want because of outlets and people like YOU! Photog @photonutz
Fierce AF androgynous model Rain Dove set out to make a point last week about what people consider beautiful. Rain, who is cisgender (meaning she was designated female in the delivery room and grew up to identify as female), is often mistaken for a man or transgender woman because of her height and facial structure, according to Elle.
Rain wanted to show that beauty can exist outside of society's standards. She took a stance by dressing up in Victoria's Secret lingerie and recreating shots from the brand's holiday catalog, then edited the images to swap a Victoria's Secret model's head in for her own.
"I'm constantly told in the industry that I don't look like a woman, so therefore I can't be put in editorials and campaigns because people wouldn't get it," she told Elle.
