Ariana Grande is always outspoken when it comes to feminism and human rights (ooh, remember when she totally slammed those radio DJs for being totally clueless?). She recently posted a pretty epic feminist meme on Instagram, but later deleted it, most likely because it made mention of the Kardashians.

Did people just completely misunderstand the point and Ari felt like it wasn't worth explaining?

The meme shows Princess Diana, with the caption: "In a world full of Kardashians...be whatever kind of woman you want to be and stop spreading internalized misogyny by insulting one woman in order to compliment another. Celebrate all women in all their glorious variety!"

She wrote on Instagram: "WISH I KNEW WHO MADE THIS SO I COULD SEND 8,000,000 ROSES TO THEIR DOOR STEP."

This meme is in response to one that says: "In a world full of Kardashians, be Diana," implying one should be more classy like Princess Diana and less like a Kardashian.

Since it didn't land well with fans, Ari edited the caption to explain that there's no Kardashian shade: "to clarify! please understand that this is not shade!! this is actually shading the other memes doing the shading! this is encouraging people to be themselves and celebrate each other how they are. THESE memes should be everywhereeeeee.)"
