It seems like every time we log into Facebook, there's some new and exciting update waiting for us.
Last week, Facebook Messenger introduced the ability to call an Uber directly from the app. Earlier this month, the social media site dropped Live Photo, competing with apps like Meerkat and Periscope, and Collage, a feature that creates beautiful scrolling blocks of photos and videos.
As of Friday, Facebook announced that the way you use its Events feature is about to change. Now, you can choose the date you want to go out - Tonight? Next Friday? - and edit down the events using the categories Music, Food & Drinks, Nightlife, Sports & Fitness, Fine Arts & Crafts, Community, Film & Photography, Performing Arts and Causes, reports TechCrunch.
The other cool feature is unfortunately only available for iPhone 6S users. If you're lucky enough to have a shiny new iPhone, you know all about the three-second, GIF-like videos known as Live Photos. Facebook is now making it possible for its iOS app users to upload Live Photos and make all the peasants with old phones jealous. If you see a photo with an icon of concentric circles in the corner, tap it and it'll move, according to Refinery29.
Time to find some parties to crash. Thanks, Facebook!
