Take it from Taylor Swift: plaid skirts aren't just for schoolgirl Halloween costumes anymore. Tay stepped out on her 26th birthday last week at LAX airport showing off her endless legs in a teeny tartan mini. If this look is any indication, 26 is going to look even more amazing on T-Swift than 25. (If that's even possible!)

Taylor's skirt wasn't your average pleated, plaid silhouette from your school uniform days either - instead, she opted for a fresh, grown-up wrap style, which made her entire outfit read more "trendy twenty-something" than "first day of kindergarten."
Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - December 13, 2015Taylor, who is fresh off her 1989 world tour rocked her plaid, wrap-style skirt with a navy cropped sweater, sheer black tights and adorable oxblood loafers. (Oh, and she somehow managed to have a perfectly sleek bob after her long flight too!) With the unseasonably warm weather that's hitting most of the country right now, Tay's look is pretty much the perfect ugly Christmas sweater alternative for a holiday party. Below, we found her leggy look for less:

Go for Taylor's wrap-style skirt ($42.42, Chicwish) in a similar red and navy plaid pattern - it's festive AF for the holiday season! Balance out the statement plaid with Tay's cropped sweater ($26.37, Glamorous) in gray, and add sheer black tights ($14, Urban Outfitters) underneath your skirt to balance out the skin-baring look on top. Loafers with stud details ($56, Revolve Clothing) add edge and sophistication - we kind of can't believe they're under $100! Add a twist to Taylor's look by topping it off with a fun pop-pom beanie ($26, River Island). Oh, and don't forget a cute, compact crossbody ($69.90, Zara).
