Simon Cowell Found Zayn Malik's One Direction Diss 'Rude'

It turns out Simon Cowell wasn't too impressed with some of Zayn Malik's comments after he left One Direction.

Remember when Zayn commented in that Fader magazine interview that "there was never any room for me to experiment creatively in the band," calling 1D's songs "generic as f**k?"

Yeah, it was all a little ouchy, for sure.

Simon told The Daily Star recently that he found Zayn's diss "a bit rude to the people who wrote all the hits with them. And to the other band members. I mean they all wrote a lot of the stuff."

He also explained that maybe Zayn will have a change of heart, noting, "I think once he has had a chance to reflect on everything he will probably reconsider what he's said because it was a very, very democratic process in the band."

Simon also shared that once Zayn quit, he was more focused on the remaining four-piece, explaining, "As soon as he left we sorted him out with a label who really were enthusiastic about him and then my loyalty was back with the boys."
