Aside from her recent Twitter truce with Erykah Badu
, we haven't really heard much from Iggy Azalea
, who's mostly been keeping a low profile on social media. But on Saturday, Dec. 26, the "Fancy" rapper hopped online to announce "Team" as the lead title off her upcoming album Digital Distortion
No shade towards Iggy, but the first thing that comes to mind when we hear the single's title is the brief drama the rapper had with her mentor T.I.
earlier this year. The rumors about T.I. no longer working with Iggy
had everyone believing that Iggy's team was in the midst of some major drama.
But Iggy's way ahead of the speculation and tweeted the meaning of "Team" to inquiring fans:So, there you have it. "Team" isn't about the dramz. Based on Iggy's description, it sounds like she's working on a club anthem, but she has yet to confirm a release date for the track, only tweeting that fans should expect
"content, buzz songs, viral videos and other cool stuff" in January.
