Facebook's been releasing all sorts of cool new features lately, and one of its recent Messenger releases called Photo Magic is perfect for your NYE selfies.
In the company's press release Facebook reported that last year hundreds millions of users shared photos through Messenger on NYE, and the company wants to make it even easier for us to do so this year. Once you upload a photo to send via Messenger, the app will recognize your Facebook friends in the photo and ask if a) you want to tag them and b) if you want to create a private group for future sharing. If you hate being in group texts or chats, don't worry - there's an option for users to opt-out. #Unsubscribe
In addition to making it easier to share photos, Messenger is launching a ton of new Snapchat-esque features like "various color choices, emoji and nicknames." Now you can label your "bestie", "hot AF bf", and "crazy ex BF" in your Messenger chats. Facebook also is adding this funky snow feature to your messages for the holiday season (the bottom GIF is for Android only, #sorry)
