The 21-year-old crooner was neck-to-neck with the charity initiative with his single "Love Yourself" although he was beaten when their song "A Bridge Over You" outsold him by 31,000 copies.
As the battle went on, Justin selflessly urged fans to buy the charity single rather than his own. During his Twitter campaign to get the choir to the top of the chart, Bieber told his 72 million followers, "I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close ... but the NHS Choir single is for charity."
"So for one week it's OK not to be number one. Let's do the right thing and help them win. It's Christmas. NHS Choir good luck."
The Biebs also tweeted a link to the single's dedicated website.
