No shade to Meek Mill, but, it seemed like calling it quits on his battle with Drake was one of his best decisions of the year.
Still, it appears Meek is sparking it back up again with a snippet from his new album, Dreamchasers 4. On it, he says, "When I was saying sh*t about the rhymes you ain't wrote, I can't wait until we run into ya, Ima put a gun in ya." Sigh.
Earlier this year, Meek and Drake went head to head in a rap battle after Meek went on a Twitter rant saying – among many other things - that Drake doesn't write his own lyrics. Rather than firing back on Twitter though, Drake released two diss tracks, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back."
The latter was so popular that it sparked a thousand memes and was nominated for a Grammy earlier this month. After Drake released "Back to Back" and the internet slaughtered Meek, he ended up writing on Instagram in August that he was done beefing with Drake.
It looks like that was only temporary, but Meek might want to chill, considering he's on probation for a 2007 arrest where he was charged and convicted for carrying an unlicensed gun, according to NME. Aside from that, a judge recently told him that he may have to go back to prison after he reportedly violated his probation several times.
"He's been doing this the entire time. Not following the instructions," judge Genece Brinkley, said, according to the site. That probation violation included allegedly submitting cold water in the place of a urine sample and not checking into court every 60 days to have his travel approved. His sentencing is in February.
Meek really should just lay low for now.
