Something tells us this is the stuff every brother's dreams are made of.
In total sibs fashion, Gordy Yates decided to give his twin sister the ultimate birthday present (and probably tease the heck out of her too) by recreating a ton of her Instagram pics, including the ones of her posing with her baby. The part that took this all to a viral level though, was that he duplicated the baby pictures with a cat.
"My twin sister Meredith is so great and I am so bad," he wrote on his blog. "Every year on my birthday, she gets me something cool: a t-shirt, a funny book, something she wanted to get rid of but chose to give to me instead, and so much more. And no matter where I've lived, she's always either sent the gift in a package or saved it to give to me later."
"Anyway, I decided to do something very heartfelt to show her how much I appreciate her (plus, she and her husband are the ONLY ones in my family planning to visit me in Taiwan, so that deserves a special shout-out)," he continued. "She is VERY social media, so for her 28th birthday (which is TODAY!), I recreated 28 of the photos she posted this past year. By looking at these photos, you'll see how cool she is! Check it out!"
From her duck faces to her yoga poses to her blurry selfies, Gordy nailed every single photo he recreated, but the baby photos he duplicated were pure gold. In one photo, Meredith hugs her baby girl as the tiny tyke leans over her shoulder. In Gordy's snap, he holds a cat close, who looks like it wants none of the photo opp.In another shot, Meredith poses with her daughter at Disneyland, with her little one rocking pink Minnie Mouse ears topped with a tiara. In Gordy's shot, he poses with the cat who is wearing a tiara (and again, is over it all).
To top things off, he cradled the cat – who he wrapped in a blanket in another shot – to recreate a shot of Miranda holding on to a baby during her volunteer work as a doula. In the last shot, he recreates a photo of Miranda hitting a seated yoga pose as her son gives her a big hug...and he does the same, with the cat propped up on his shoulder.
