Fans knew the end was near, but "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis confirmed their suspicions Thursday at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Davis announced that the show's upcoming sixth season would be its last and, according to TV Line, also promised that the final 20 episodes will not disappoint. Not only can fans expect "surprise returns" from former cast members, but the mystery of Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) first name will finally be revealed, as well.

Season 6 kicks off in November with the show's 100th episode, and Davis told Entertainment Weekly that he thinks it will be a "great gift to the fans."

Cast members including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Cody Christian and Khylin Rhambo were at the panel for the emotional announcement. O'Brien, who was announced last week to be officially returning to the show, was not in attendance as he was at home recovering from an injury suffered while while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure."
