Things are getting heated!

After Justin Bieber became Instagram official with his new boo Sofia Richie over the weekend, the singer told his fans to stop being mean to his new love on social media or else he would make his account private.

Selena Gomez then stepped in with a few words for her former boyfriend, telling him to stay loyal to his fans and, basically, kill 'em with kindness.

"If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol - it should be special between you two only," the singer commented. "Don't be mad at your fans. They love you."

Bieber replied to Gomez to say, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love."

Gomez wasted no time firing back and shut the Biebs down by making an infidelity claim against him:

"Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love."

The "Hands to Myself" singer then took things a step further by posting a photo collage showing herself posing with fans.

"My whole life. You matter most," Gomez captioned her photo. "Thank you for letting me do what I love every day."

My whole life. You matter most. Thank you for letting me do what I love every day.

Bieber responded, accusing Selena of cheating with Zayn Malik. But by then, Twitter was already welcoming followers to the #SelenaEndedJustinBieberParty.

In defense of Bieber, we think he has a right to post a photo of Richie without commenters suggesting that his new girlfriend kill herself. Honestly, it might be best for everyone involved here to stay off of social media for a little while.
