Celebrities including Ashlee Simpson, Minnie Driver, Denise Richards, Olivia Munn, Christina Milan, Joe Mangianello, Ashley Tisdale, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ashley Argota, Nolan Gould, Chloe Bridges, Nicole Anderson, Zachary Levi, Tamera Mowry, and Chad Michael Murray took a trip to Africa and volunteered their time and talents on Sunday at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's 22nd Annual A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival Sponsored by Disney.
Every year, Hollywood gives back and volunteers time as "heroes" and work various carnival-style game booths to raise funds to fight pediatric AIDS around the world. In addition, guests were treated to an array of culinary treats from some of Los Angeles' finest restaurants that included Covell, Olive & Thyme, AKASHA, Toscana and Drago. The day was topped off with a concert by Radio Disney "N.B.T." Winner Kicking Daisies. A Time for Heroes is expected to raise approximately $1.5 million to help the Foundation eliminate pediatric AIDS and create a generation free of HIV.
Inside the event, Ashlee Simpson and her son Bronx helped kids decorate and race toy cars at the Heroes "Cars 2 Raceway," while Denise Richards, Minnie Driver and Joe Mangianello helped guests decorate 77kids American Eagle at the Denim Decorating Station
Guests joined Disney's Friends for Change and worked together to create special "Kits for Kids" to send to children in Africa and Ashley Tisdale, Alexa Vega, Zachary Levi and Angus T. Jones got there imbee on with the kids' social network that offers original web series, cool games, photo-video uploads, chat, music and much more!
