It's almost 2011, which means everyone's "Best of 2010" lists are emerging.
The American Film Institute (AFI) has released its list of the top 10 movies and TV shows of the year. So what made it?
The 10 films, selected by the AFI jury, are: Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network, The Town, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter's Bone. Special awards also went to The Kings Speech and the documentary Waiting for Superman.
The AFI TV programs of the year are: "The Big C," "Boardwalk Empire," "Breaking Bad," "Glee," "Mad Men," "Modern Family," "The Pacific," "Temple Grandin," "30 Rock" and "The Walking Dead."
The AFI will honor the creative ensembles for each of the films and TV shows at a luncheon sponsored by Hewlett-Packard on Jan. 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.
