Raise your hand if you're already stressing about Prom even though school's just started. Surprisingly, the star of last spring's ';Prom,' Aimee Teegarden can't relate.
"I wasn't all that into Prom when I was at that age," she told us last week on the phone. "It wasn't my own school's Prom, I went to my date's Prom so maybe that was part of it. But by the time I was old enough to go to my Prom, I was in the process of graduating high school and had a million other things on my plate, so Prom wasn't necessarily the first thing on my mind."
We can see how starring on ';Friday Night Lights' and attending red carpet events could kind of take the sparkle off Prom. As for keeping in touch with the cast of the movie though, it seems like it's similar to keeping in touch with friends from high school - you can't stay close with everyone, but there's one or two people you connect with. Aimee told us she had a complete blast on the set, but unfortunately all the actors are so spread out across the country now that she doesn't keep in touch with everyone.
So who is Aimee still closest to? "Probably Yin Chang, who played Mei," she said. I probably see her at least once every couple of weeks, hanging out, grabbing a bite to eat, that kind of thing."
We've got a never-before-seen video of Yin with her ';Prom' costars Janelle Ortiz and Dani Campbell getting ready for an afterparty featuring a performance by Nolan Sotillo at this year's Teen Choice Awards. Nolan was also featured on the film's soundtrack which also included songs from Passion Pit, Shout Out Louds and Neon Trees.
"The soundtrack was far more than I was expecting," she said. "I think Disney did a great job as far as adding a soundtrack that I feel really connected with the youth of today."
';Prom' is available now on DVD and Blu-ray.
