Welcome to parenthood!
Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz welcomed a baby boy on Thursday. Keys, who was reportedly due in November, went into labor on Thursday and gave birth to little Egypt Dauode Dean at New York's St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.
The child is Keys' first, while Beatz is already a father to three children from previous relationships. The baby's name will be no big surprise to Keys fans – she fell in love with all things Egypt during a hiatus there in 2007. She claimed the country inspired her to return and record hit album The Element of Freedom.
Neil Patrick Harris is also a new dad. The "How I Met Your Mother" star and partner David Burtka welcomed little twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace into the world on October 12.
Harris broke the happy news in a post on his Twitter writing, "Babies!! On 10/12, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace entered the Burtka-Harris fold. All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."
The babies, born via a surrogate, are the first for the beloved U.S. TV and stage entertainer; Burtka has twins from a previous relationship.
Congrats to the new parents!
