Check out Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week.

The magazine gives you the first looks and interviews from the set of the highly anticipated movie. EW can also exclusively confirm that Rhys Ifans will be playing Doc Conners, who, in an experiment gone wrong, transforms into one of Spider-Man's most formidable foes ever, the Lizard.

The Amazing Spider-Man promises to be a "more contemporary," "more gritty," and "more character-driven" look at the comic book hero. Andrew Garfield shared, "I related to Peter Parker [Spidey's alter ego] so much because I felt like someone else inside. I loved the comic books and the animated TV series and I even dressed up as Spider-Man as a kid."

Director Marc Webb says of the film, "Ultimately what this movie is about is a kid who grows up looking for his father and finds himself. And that's a Spider-Man story we haven't seen before."

We can't wait! The issue also features a preview of Comic-Con and hits newsstands tomorrow. Check out some exclusive photos of the cast here.
