Beyonce has become only the second female artist to debut her first four albums at number one in America after racing to the top of the Billboard 200 with 4.

The R&B superstar matched Britney Spears, while only rapper DMX has a better record among solo artists – his first five albums debuted at number one.

4 sold 310,000 in its first week to knock Jill Scott off the top of the countdown – the soul singer's The Light of The Sun drops to five.

Also new to the top five this week: Big Sean's Finally Famous at three and Selena Gomez & the Scene's When the Sun Goes Down at four, the best debut so far for the 18-year-old.

American Idol alums David Cook and Scotty McCreery are both new to the top 10 – Cook's This Loud Morning debuts at seven, while McCreery's EP American Idol Season 10 Highlights is a new entry at 10.
