We recently reported the filming locations for the final Twilight film Breaking Dawn. Many fans questioned why the crew would shoot in Baton Rouge. We understand the confusion, as previous Twilight films have been set in generally cold and wet places (necessary for a Forks-like atmosphere) like Portland and Vancouver, and we're here to clear it up for you! Beware the following spoiler:

In the books Edward and Bella honeymoon on a private island off the coast of Brazil. JSYK suspects the Baton Rouge set is being used for the honeymoon portion of the film because, as you might imagine, Vancouver isn't exactly the ideal setting for a tropical island vacation.

JSYK also reports that it's a possibility that Summit execs are using this as an opportunity to help rebuild the economy in places such as Louisiana that have been negatively affected by the BP oil spill.
