Hip-hop group Cali Swag District are pressing ahead with plans to release their debut album next month following the tragic murder of bandmate M-Bone, insisting it's what he would have wanted.
The 22 year old, real name Montae Talbert, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Inglewood, California on May 15 and he was laid to rest last month.
Police have yet to arrest any suspects in relation to the incident and Talbert's bandmates have appealed for anyone with information about the crime to contact authorities.
But the "Teach Me How To Dougie" hitmakers are refusing to let the tragedy derail their plans for their first release The Kickback, and have vowed to continue working to keep M-Bone's memory alive.
Rapper Yung says, "We're sure that M-Bone is doin' the Dougie at the gates of heaven and we know he would want us to keep the movement goin' here."
The Kickback will hit U.S. music retailers on July 12.
