Looking out onto thousands of excited fans smiling at you is such a rush! I really didn't expect the Jonas Brothers to bring me out on stage at any point on this tour but it happened the other night in Lima and I couldn't have been more shocked about it. I was just standing on the side of the stage next to Papa Jonas enjoying the show like everyone else when all of a sudden I see Nick step out of the spotlight to talk into the internal mic he uses to notifying the band of changes during the set. Next thing I know their musical director John Taylor looks over and asks me to come on stage.
Knowing John's sense of humor my first thought was "he's just messing with me" but then Joe says to the crowd, "I want to bring out a friend of ours- give it up for Quddus!" Well I wasn't sure exactly what they had in mind so I just came out enough so that people could see me, gave a big wave and then proceeded to head back to the side of the stage. Before I get back there though, Joe says he wants me to come back out with my flip cam.
Once I get to center stage in the spotlight with my flip cam in hand Joe gets the crowd to chant out "Cambio!" and I love how a fan named Andrei filmed it too. You can check out her footage here. The fans of Peru are some of the most passionate I've ever seen. This picture was a moment in the hotel lobby where they made me feel like I might as well be a Jonas Brother! Mucho amore Peru!
