Songs performed by Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the 41 shortlisted for Academy Awards glory in 2011.

"Bound to You," which Aguilera sings in Burlesque, Bieber's collaboration with Jaden Smith, "Never Say Never" from The Karate Kid, and two tracks from Paltrow's movie Country Strong have been named among the favorites to land the Best Original Song prize on February 27.

Other tracks tipped to become nominees when the list is narrowed down next month (Jan11) include Carrie Underwood's "There's a Place for Us" from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Randy Newman's "We Belong Together" from Toy Story 3.

The songs will compete with other tracks from films including Despicable Me, Dinner for Schmucks, Eat Pray Love and How to Train Your Dragon.
