Cory Monteith has a new gig to take up his time when he's not starring on "Glee." He's the drummer of the band Bonnie Dune.
The band made their debut performance at the Roxy on Sunday night opening for Jared Lee. The show was sold out and packed with Cory's co-stars. Spotted in the VIP section were Mark Salling, Chord Overstreet, Max Adler, and Kevin McHale. Rumors say Selena Gomez also showed up to support her Monte Carlo pal. Danielle Panabaker, Zachary Burr Abel, and Jonathan Sadowski were also in the audience to support Jared.
The band's music has a fun laid back vibe. For their first show, the band impressed many people. Obviously Cory helped draw in the crowd, but Justin Wilczynski's vocals proved that this band has a future. They need a little more stage presence, but I'm sure that will come in time. The band also consists of Seth Roberts on guitar and Josh Kerr on bass.
Also pictured are Jared Lee and Simon Curtis, who also performed, opening the show with music from his upcoming album.
The band performed songs inlcuding "Sea Sick," "Haunting," and "Better View," which can all be heard on their facebook page. The band will be playing with Capra ("Glory Daze" star Kelly Blatz's band) at Chain Reaction in Anaheim on January 23.
Check out the band's performance of "Haunting" below.
