Last night was the Season 12 premiere of "Dancing With the Stars." This year's group of stars has quite the range of participants; everyone from Disney stars to rappers to radio hosts to talk show hosts to wrestlers.
We watched the premiere and boy does this group have a lot of energy! This is probably one of the most fun casts we've ever seen on the show. The final scores ranged from 13 to 24 with Ralph Macchio leading the pack.
Below are our top 3 favorite dances of the night. (It was very hard to choose) Everyone will be back to perform again next Monday with the first elimination happening next Tuesday.
Who was your favorite couple last night? Who are you rooting for? Who do you think will be eliminated first?
1. Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff foxtrot to "Ain't That a Kick in the Head." Who knew Daniel Laruso could move like that?! Ralph surprised everyone with his charisma and moves. He still seems a little stiff, but it is definitely a great start! We can tell he definitely had a lot of fun dancing.
2. Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas foxtrot to "King of Anything." Chelsea & Mark definitely kicked off the show well. There is a lot of pressure being the first out of the gate and the duo's choice of song and their youthfulness definitely showed this would be a fun season. Loved this dance.
3. Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy cha cha cha to "Forget You." Who knew Kirstie Alley could move like this? And at age 60?!?! She was definitely the biggest surprise of the evening. C'mon…don't tell me you didn't think she was going to be stiff and boring (Kind of like Wendy Williams?). Kirstie definitely has the attitude and picked the perfect song to make her debut. We hope she keeps it up!
