Have you been going through withdrawals waiting for new episodes of "Degrassi: The Next Generaton"? Well you're in for a treat this summer.

TeenNick is doing something exciting to celebrate the 10th season of the show. For the first time, "Degrassi" will be presented in a prime-time telenovela-style format with new episodes airing 5 nights a week starting July 19th until August 26. And that is only the first half of the season!

The season will kick off with a 2-hour TV movie, "The Heat Is On," on July 19 at 9pm EST. The last TV movie followed the cast to Hollywood, while this one follows some to New York City. New episodes will then continue throughout the week with a 2-hour weekly encore on Fridays of the week's past episodes.

We had the chance to chat with Charlotte Arnold and Raymond Ablack (Holly J & Sav) last week about the new season. The interview will be up soon, but the duo told us that the theme for Season 10 is Boiling Points. Each character will have something boiling under the surface which will reach its "boiling point" in episode 24 on August 26. They shared that they just finished filming the episode and will soon head back to film the second half of the season.

The 10th season of Degrassi will further explore the lives of the students, as well as tackle many issues that are relevant to teens today including divorce, bullies, gender identity, community service, double standards, Internet safety, family dynamics, runaways and romance. Four fresh faces join the junior class and learn to navigate the waters of their new school, while the seniors have some big decisions to make with potentially harsh consequences. Meanwhile, the sophomores are ready to make their mark and in turn, stir up some drama in true Degrassi style.

Are you excited for the return of "Degrassi"? The premiere is only a week away!
