Drake is drawing inspiration for his next album from an unlikely source – children's cartoon character Winnie the Pooh.

The "Best I Ever Had" hitmaker spent a small fortune stocking up on the early A.A. Milne books during a promotional trip to the U.K. earlier this month and he admits revisiting his childhood memories is giving him ideas for his sophomore project, Take Care.

He says, "I bought the first-ever Winnie the Pooh books, like all four Winnie the Pooh books. It cost me a lot of pounds, man. I probably could have bought a small car for that.

"They were a huge part of my childhood. That's my influence… Winnie the Pooh on this next album."
